Emory Supplement B

There is an uncanny amount of unusual traditions in my family. Have you ever seen anyone else put honey on savoury pizza? Perhaps the most unique tradition of all is our competitive family bingo. Towards the end of every year, the entire family gets together and sits down for dinner, followed by two rounds of the most cutthroat bingo you will ever see. No one knows where the idea came from but it religiously happens every year. The fact that all of us together can turn something that was so basic into something we all so want to win is impressive in its own right. Despite this, the real reason I will miss family bingo (and our other weird habits) so much is that it serves as a constant reminder to me of how we could turn anything at all into something cherishable.
